We have a higly consious and dedicated team of staff with a mutlitude of skill sets, offering a complete range of resource and expertise to the business and our customers. Some production staff have been with us for over 30 years and the company prides itself on long term commitment and knowledge share. We actively encourage training and experience to further our service and qulaity to both customers and foam products at all levels.

NICK KEWELL Operations Director & Joint Managing Director

A University of Birmingham graduate in Civil Engineering, Nick joined the family business in 1998 with huge amounts of industrial knowledge, enthusiasm and leadership skills. Over this time Nick has built a highly efficient, capable and industry leading Operations and Production team. When not engrossed in the manufacturing and despatch of the best foam products - on time and on budget in the market Nick can be found pounding the roads of Kent in marathon training and endurance events. A family man with 3 beautiful children and still occasional gracing the fields of Warlingham Rugby club whom he once captained many a side. Otherwise found at the bar offering wise words of wisdom and encouragement.

MARCOS KEWELL Commercial Director & Joint Managing Director

After gaining an honours degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marcos pursued an engineering career in the corporate sector with businesses including Astra Zeneca Plc before joining the family business in 2004. Marcos manages the commercial teams and business developments within the business as well as key relationships with customers and suppliers. Once a county rugby player and water-polo he still makes regular vets' appearances for the Old Wilsonians Football Club whilst playing weekly 5-aside football until the knees/back give up. He is now attempting to learn the dark arts of golf whilst bringing up 3 young kids with his wife and running and directing the growing and innovate business alongside Nick.

NEIL JOHNSTON General Manager

Neil joins Kewell with nearly 30 years experience in engineering sales and manufacturing in the non-ferrous metals and thermoplastics industries. He has covered all the bases from purchasing and sales to production and warehouse management. He said that he has worn so many hats in his time that it’s caused his hair to thin.

Neil has three grown up children and is expecting his first grandchild this year. He enjoys spending time either with his wife in coffee shops watching the world go by, or walking his cocker spaniel over all of the local countryside.

GEOFF DANIELS QA Manager

Geoff joined us in September 2020, bringing with him forty-five years of engineering experience of which the last twenty-six have been in a Quality role.

Having worked in defence, retail and electronics industries, in various managerial posts he will no doubt will be a great asset to our company.

Geoff’s role will include both Quality Assurance and Quality Control, working closely with the Shop Floor, providing support, training and implementing process improvements with assistance from the Teams.

Outside work Geoff enjoys all forms of motorsport and buying /rebuilding vintage pushbikes. His other keen interests are metal detecting, (still waiting to dig up his fortune), watching Charlton Athletics, but more of all spending time with his 5-year-old granddaughter.

ANTHONY MATTOCK Technical Sales Coordinator

Anthony joined KCL in April 2018 as Technical sales Co-ordinator, having come from a background in the design and manufacture of carbon fibre parts predominantly for the motorsport industry. In his time at KCL he will be looking to add a strong link between production and sales departments, using his technical knowledge.

When not at work he enjoys pursuing a lifestyle as a competitive waterskier, as well as having a keen interest in playing guitar.    

 

MALCOLM NEWINGTON Business Development Manager / Internal Sales

Following 20 years working as a Field Sales Engineer in the Fluid Power industry, Malcolm has decided to return to working in an office environment with actual people, as he was getting concerned with the amount of time he was spending talking and arguing with himself in his car. His main activities will include ensuring Kewell maximise their business opportunities within their existing customer base, as well as uncovering new potential within the industry.

Malcolm’s main interests include an annoying love of Progressive Rock music ,and sport, although that particular interest is generally carried out with a beer in hand rather than in actual participation these days.

ANGELINE FIELDS Senior Sales Administrator & Customer Care

Angeline has been an excellent addition to our Customer Service team working in Customer Service Administration and Production Liaison, since October 2017.

Angeline is a homebody who enjoys the finer things in life (when she’s not working her socks off providing top quality service for Kewell Converters!)

SUE CANNON Sales Administrator & Customer Care

After being self-employed for 16 years Sue has decided to take the plunge back into employment and joined the team in July 2019. She brings with her various office administration, sales and customer support skills that she has gained throughout her consultancy work. In her free time she enjoys swimming, the gym, visiting new places and enjoying life.

SARAH JAMES Financial Controller & Bookkeeper

Sarah is our financial controller and bookkeeper who joined us in April 2015. Sarah brought her knowledge and experience to us from London where she worked for well known drinks company. She has been a strong and valuable member of our team ever since.

When she is not busy looking after the cash, payroll and other legal obligations of our company she is busy mum of 2 lovely girls. She wishes she had time for hobbies but that time of her life is yet to come!

 

SHARON COOPER Accounts Assistant

Sharon Joined us in December and will be in charge of Credit Control as well as supporting Sarah our Accounts Manager.

Sharon is married with 2 girls and in her spare time she enjoys travelling and socialising. She is also involved in her local community helping elderly residents with shopping and essencial assistance in these difficult times.

 

 

DON REID CAD/CAM & CNC Programmer

An original Canadian Biker (not, I add an American) who looks like lumberjack and wears a beard from a bye gone era. A genius at design and CADCAM/CNC programming in Foam products for Kewell Converters for over 10 yrs. and very good at his job. He turns sketches and ideas into reality and gets them made when seemingly impossible. For such a large character he drives the smallest convertible Mercedes-Benz sports car known to man - an environmentalist at heart and often found swimming countless lengths at his local private spa baths of an evening.

PAUL BISHOP Manufacturing Engineer & Production Co-ordinator/Supervisor

A worldly engineer through and through with technical know-how and a keen eye for detail. Paul has a real passion for manufacturing and how things are made and put together which is reflected in his day to day work.

In his spare time Paul can often be found tinkering on his latest Motorbike Renovation project, or out in the wilds of the Kent and Sussex countryside shooting or doing archery.

JOHN DONOHOE CAD-CNC Supervisor / Production Engineer

John has joined our busy team in February this year.

Whilst he does little bit of everything, he mainly liaise with the production team, customers and suppliers.With the background of manufacturing medical equipment and sign making, we have now converted him to work with foam!

In his spare time John is keen cyclist and enjoys trip to cinema with his family and friends.

MICHAEL LEE Production Coordinator

Micky started with us as Machine Operator and later on moved onto the role of Warehouse Supervisor. With experience growing, taking on more tasks and excellent work ethic we are pleased to see him progress into his new role of Production Coordinator.

 

CHRIS WEAVER Production Administrator

Chris brings with him some great experience and knowledge from years in the automotive industry of the midlands. 

He has been a Bill of materials and engineering specifications person with the midland motor industry most of his career.  As he have recently relocated to Kent, he is very excited to be soon learning brand new aspects of bespoke foam engineering with Kewell Converters.

Chris's interests are in historic aircraft, military vehicles and F1 motor racing. Being a new Kent resident  he will be spending most weekend time with his wife exploring the beauties of South East.

JOHN LEE Team Leader - Primary Fabrication

The muscle on the shop floor with a commanding voice and sets the pace for efficient factory output. The speed of a cheetah turning foam blanks into great products. Full of life and character with always an opinion to offer. A taste for the good life and known to like a few Whisky's and red wine.

JACKSON NGANGA Team Leader - CNC Machines

Jackson joined us in April 2017 as a brilliant addition to our Production Team as a Team Leader. Jackson looks after the team who manufacture using our Water Jet Cutting Machines and CNC Routers.

When he isn’t keeping his steely eye on our machines, Jackson is a Professional Handballer and enjoys spending his time at church, volunteering for charity and soaking up the sunshine on holiday with his family.

JULIE PESTIL Team Leader - Assembly/Finishing

Super creative Julie has been with us for almost 4 years.

She is excellent at running a busy production team, whilst assembling and finishing the products to the highest standard for our customers. Julie is a qualified florist, loves dancing modern jive, paints and draws animals, and if that’s not enough she loves to visit a motoshow or two in her Escort RS 2000 and Ford Anglia.

 

HARVEY SIBLEY Warehouse Supervisor

Harvey started with us on temporary basis but we soon realised he would be a great permanent member of our team. 

Long experience in warehouse operations and working with and for a wide spectrum of people and an even wider spectrum of products and services; provided Harvey with an extremely broad understanding of warehousing, logistics, transport, quality control and health and safety.

Harvey is a keen Arsenal supporter and enjoys watching football and many other sports he remembers being able to play; and loves spending time with his partner Sarah of nearly 30 years and their 2 grown up children.

 

 

BRAIN FLANNERY Senior Technician & Production Operator

The man who knows how to set machines/tools, fix machines and get things made probably with 25 yrs. of know how in the foam industry. He is the go to guy to get jobs set and run just so. A sound, reliable and technical member of the production team who loves DIY, mechanical engineering and good old fashion trains at the weekend.

CHRIS MARGUET Maintenance Engineer

Chris Joined us on 1st October. He is highly skilled Chief Engineer having worked in newspaper printing industry previously, maintaining various print presses. Chris's new position as Maintenance Engineer will involve breakdown and plant preventative maintenance, as well as looking after our building and making sure everything runs smoothly in the entire factory.
Chris is also a beater for a local pheasant shooting and enjoys the occasional fly fishing.

At Kewell we are dedicated to producing and delivering innovative, high-quality foam products and services. For this we need dedicated and experienced team.

Our key production operators are highly skilled and compliant in working with various state of the art machines like cnc contour cutter, router, die cutter, water jet and many more machines to deliver products that exactly match your expectations. We cater for both batch manufacturing as well as luxurious, one off bespoke parts.

 

BUSTER The Office Dog

A handsome male working cocker spaniel with bags of energy and personality. An affection and needy chap who loves sitting in the sunny spots around the office and the resident security guard dog to protect our huge volumes of foam stocks out back in the warehouse and our foamtastic end products.
